My Thoughts About Worship

Sometimes it is very difficult to worship God when thing are not going the way it should. It is also difficult to worship God when we fall into sin. The guilt of our actions prevents us from connecting with God. While it is true that sin separates us from the presence of God, it is in the presence of God that sin is separated from us. God cleansing power resides in His presence, this power is so powerful those that make it a habit of cultivating the presence of God through worship end up being changed. When we live our lives with a daily focus or awareness about God’s presence, we experience God’s transformation.

2 cor 3:18 says “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

God wants us changed; He wants us transformed into His image. God is not happy that we struggle with sin, issues or weaknesses. God wants our faces to be unveiled in humility and sincerity towards Him so that we can experience His transforming power. Worship opens the veil; worshipping God reveals the glory of God.  No one has the ability to change themselves, you can’t break that habit with “mind” power alone, we need God’s supernatural empowerment.

All God requires is a broken and contrite heart, one that is open and humble. Friends, its ok to tell God that you can’t make it alone, it is ok to let him know that you just don’t feel like connecting with Him right now. God understands and He alone has the ability to turn things around. Don’t run away from the presence just because things are not going right, running to Him today and allow God to change you. God bless.
